ENTR 320:Entrepreneurial Marketing gets a new instructor

Let's show him a warm UMBC welcome by filling up his class

Marketing is one of those entrepreneurial skills you are going to have to develop, or at the very least know enough about to hire someone who knows more than you.

We are happy to announce that the class is back for it's third consecutive Spring. I can personally tell you that it was an amazing class (I took the first one, taught by Greg Cangialosi). I heard a lot of great things about the class taught last Spring by Jason Pappas.

This coming semester we welcome Aaron Altscher. For those that were able to make it out earlier this semester, he was one of our Entrepreneurial Speakers. His talk, "Crab cakes and Tech Startups - That's what Maryland does best" was a huge success.

This course arms student entrepreneurs with an overview and understanding of the new media and marketing landscape. New media have fundamentally changed the way that all businesses approach marketing. Students in this course can expect to develop a high level understanding of the planning and execution of messaging and engagement within new marketing media. This course will include a combination of both individual and team based projects, (such as blogs, pod casts, and E-mail newsletters).

GET TO KNOW AARON ALTSCHER

His current company, Handteq, provides backend software to get property management companies and communities on the web, and builds mobile applications that expedite workflow.

The class is scheduled for Tuesdays, 4:30 - 7:00 in Physics 107 for the 2015 Spring semester. To make it even easier for you, the 4 digit class code is 7001.

You will have had to taken ENTR 200 (5766) and ENTR 201 (5767) ...but you should take those anyway. Both are being offered in the spring as well.

I bet, with your help, we can fill all three classes. Make it happen.
