The Alex. Brown Center for Entrepreneurship hosts two annual competitions:
Spring Semester: The Cangialosi Business Innovation Competition (CBIC)
The CBIC is an opportunity for UMBC graduate and undergraduate students who aspire to fulfill entrepreneurial pursuits. Participants will experience the process of planning a startup business by submitting a competitive and realistic 3-5 page business plan and qualifiers will present their idea in a final competition.
This competition began in Spring 2014 and is held annually.
Fall Semester: UMBC’s Idea Competition
The UMBC Idea competition is designed to challenge you to think about problems and opportunities facing society. If UMBC is one of the most innovative schools in the nation, then UMBC students are just the kind of innovators that can really change the world. Now’s your chance to make it happen.
This competition began in Fall 2010 and is held annually.
