DIGITAL HARBOR FOUNDATION HACKATHON - APRIL 22-24

Make the world more accessible for people with disabilities.

The Digital Harbor Foundation and Betamore are teaming up to assemble the Abilities Hackathon! During the weekend of April 22nd-24th, the Baltimore tech community will come together to help solve problems that those with disabilities face in everyday life. This event truly is about addressing the needs of those with disabilities.


Participants will have an opportunity to participate in the following four tracks:

   - Transportation/Mobility
   - Wearables
   - Leisure/Entertainment
   - Open Software/Hardware

Tickets are $20, which provides a T-Shirt as well as meals throughout the weekend.

Schedule:

Friday April 22 - 5pm-12am

   - 5:00pm Kickoff
   - 7:00pm Dinner
   - 9:30pm Snack


Saturday April 23 - 9am-12am

   - 9:00am Breakfast
   - 12:00pm Lunch
   - 3:00pm Snack
   - 6:00pm Dinner
   - 9:00pm Snack

Sunday April 24 - 9am- Doors Open

   - 9:00am Breakfast
   - 12:00pm Lunch
   - 1:00pm Projects Due
   - 2pm - Project Presentations
   - 4pm - Judging
   - 5pm - Closing and Winner Announcements

Prizes & Tracks:

1st Place:  $2,500
2nd Place: $2,000
3rd Place:  $1,500

Four Tracks:


Transportation/Mobility: $1000
Wearables:$1000
Leisure/Entertainment: $1000
Open Source Hardware/Software: $500 for each.

For those that place, the individuals/teams will have time to touch up their products and present at a second showcase on May 25th. There will be a $5,000 grand prize winner announced.
