ABCEI Speaker Series with Julie Lenzer 

The team at the Alex. Brown Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (ABCEI) is excited to host our second event of the semester this Wednesday afternoon, September 28th from 12-1pm in University Center 310. 

This event will feature Julie Lenzer who is the Chief Innovation Officer at the Advanced Regenerative Manufacturing Institute. In addition, Julie is a serial entrepreneur, angel investor, former Obama appointee, and author. During her presentation titled, The Winding Road of Entrepreneurial Leadership: Risks Taken, Lessons Learned, Julie will discuss how she has navigated challenges and share the wisdom she has gained throughout her entrepreneurial journey. Students, faculty, alumni, and members of the business community are welcome to attend!

Baltimore Innovation Week Celebration

Baltimore Innovation Week 2022 is a FREE five-day celebration on October 3-7, 2022 featuring 30+ sessions that are focused on showcasing local companies, highlighting entrepreneurship resources, and bringing together Baltimore's innovation community. There are 40+ partners & sponsors working together to bring attendees an unforgettable and inspiring experience.

This year's conference is hosted in person at:

ETC (Emerging Technology Centers), 101 N. Haven Street, Suite 301, Baltimore MD 21224

Competition at Salisbury University

The Perdue School of Business Philip E. & Carole R. Ratcliffe Foundation Shore Hatchery is a bi-annual Mid-Atlantic business competition. The Shore Hatchery is open to any Mid-Atlantic business startups. It is a ten-year $2 million initiative, which began in 2013. The program assists entrepreneurs in creating new businesses and jobs in the region. Startups apply for a share of $200,000 annually. The goal of the Shore Hatchery is to reward individuals for their entrepreneurial efforts in the creation and growth of businesses with the potential of positively impacting regional employment within three years. Businesses are required to report back to the Shore Hatchery board annually on their progress. 

The final competition will be held on Friday, October 28, 2022. Registration for the 2022 competition closes today, September 26, 2022, at 11:59 PM!
