Our first Workshop of the semester will be held Friday, September 22nd from 12-1pm in Commons 331!
The Venture Capital industry's entire fundraising process needs to be redesigned, however, it may not happen anytime soon. Alaire Jameson '20 and Anthony Caesar will be sharing our truth about how they have had to navigate the difficult journey of sourcing early-stage capital. Without solid support from a "true investment ecosystem," building a company in Baltimore has been rewarding, as well as a seemingly never-ending challenge. As they are in the midst of their journey with Upfront Capital, the workshop will cover specific topics around startups and venture capital such as: pitching, bootstrapping, talking to investors, networking, raising capital, and if due diligence is really a thing. The goal of the workshop is to help other founders who are going through the process.
Students, faculty, alumni, and members of the business community are welcome to attend! FREE snacks will be provided! We hope to see you there!
