Cangialosi Business Innovation Comp Finalists Announced

Get to know the seven finalists!!

We are excited to announce the seven finalists in the 2015 Cangialosi
Business Innovation Competition (CBIC) which will be held in "two weeks"!

The event will take place on April 23, 2015, 7:00-9:00pm on the 7th floor of the AOK Library. Light refreshments will be provided.

Meet the finalists:
Michael Gardner, Nathan Hefner:  
Business: NeighborhoodNet
Description: A SaaS platform for creating and managing community associations websites.

Patrick Wheltle, Robert Oehrli, Joseph Lamb, Tristan Adams:
Business: Baltimore Emergency Medical Technology
Description: Electronic tracking tags for use in pre-hospital and hospital settings as well as the S/W to operate them. The 1st product is an electronic triage tag that can be used in mass casualty incidents.

Sherriff Taiwo:  
Business: RentMe
Description: An app that matches contractors who need equipment to other contractors who own the needed equipment.

Gaurav Luthria:  
Business: PrkPin
Description: A predictive model for parking availability using crowdsourced data and intelligent algorithms to alleviate traffic congestion and reduce parking search time.

Andres Camacho,Jack Neumeir: 
Business: True Greens
Description: Building hoop houses on UMBC's campus to enable year round production of leafy greens to sell to campus dining facilities.

Annah Seo:  
Business: PiVot
Description: An app to enable students and working professionals to independently assess abilities and interests before moving on to explore potential career paths.

John Leung, Namrata Mohanty: 
Business: tldr Bills (tldr means "too long didn't read").  
Description: A  website and eventually mobile app to increase public involvement in government by providing unbiased, short synopses of upcoming legislation that are simplified for public understanding.
