Event #1: “Recognizing When Opportunity Knocks” Speaker Series Event

Join us for an inspiring session TODAY, October 2, 2025, from 12–1 PM in University Center 310! This event will feature Dr. Aristotle Kalivretenos, CEO and Co-Founder of Aurora Analytics LLC, who will share his journey from academic research to launching a successful startup.

Dr. Kalivretenos will walk attendees through the evolving story of Aurora, touching on pivotal entrepreneurial questions:

* Is it the right time to start a company?

* How can indecision hinder your progress?

* Are you losing sight of your original vision?

* When is it time to pivot?

This talk will be an honest look at the choices entrepreneurs face and how recognizing opportunity at the right moment can make all the difference

Event #2: Idea Pitch Day

Bring your brightest idea and curiosity to Idea Pitch Day TOMORROW, October 3, 2025, 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM in University Center 310.

During this relaxed, “no-pressure” session you can:

* Share a quick, informal pitch, no slides required

* Collect constructive feedback from peers, mentors, and ABCEI staff

* Find teammates or collaborators who share your passion

* Discover how the Idea & Innovation Challenge and other ABCEI programs can help turn today’s concept into tomorrow’s venture

Whether you’re polishing a prototype or just scribbled an idea on a napkin, Pitch Day is the perfect launch point!

Students, faculty, alumni, and members of the business community are welcome to attend both events!
