The CBIC Final Event

What a night! Last Thursday night, The Alex. Brown Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (ABCEI) hosted its annual Cangialosi Business Innovation Competition. The 2023 event included seven finalist teams, which consisted of undergraduate and graduate students from various majors from UMBC. The Alex. Brown Center offered two tracks for students to enter: Technology & Innovation and Social Impact. Thank you to everyone who joined the ABCEI for this incredible night of community and good ideas! Technology & Innovation Track

The University System of Maryland Launch Fund

The University System of Maryland (USM) Launch Fund connects early stage entrepreneurs - builders, creators, and innovators - to existing resources, mentorship, and capital. It creates a new capital source designed to fill gaps and connect to other capital and resources. 

The capital provided through this fund is flexible and early, in the form of grants (non-dilutive) and investments (dilutive) ranging from less than $2,000 microgrants to grants and investments of generally up to $50,000. To learn more and apply, click here!

Connected Patient Challenge VII

Boston Scientific's annual Connected Patient Challenge is now open and accepting applications. The Challenge is a global contest designed to address unmet healthcare needs by encouraging companies and individuals to leverage digital health tools to optimize patient care and healthcare efficiency. There are two distinct areas of interest for this year's challenge: the Digital Health Challenge and the Peripheral Vascular and Oncology Challenge. To learn more, click here!
