Come meet real-life entrepreneur, Pava LaPere!  By the young age of 23 she founded and became CEO of her own company, started the first innovation accelerator program at Johns Hopkins, and founded Innov8dMD for student entrepreneurs across the state of Maryland.  Pava leads a very busy and successful life, and she will take time out of her crazy schedule to share information about all the opportunities and resources available to entrepreneurs in Maryland!  Be sure to log on, don’t miss this chance to hear about all the help available to you!!!

In this session, we will take a look at Marland’s entrepreneurial ecosystem and examine the different resources available for entrepreneurs beyond the UMBC community.  After taking a broad look at the state’s innovation community, Pava will go over how to find resources that meet the needs of your venture and the best practices for crafting a competitive application.


A little bit about Pava LePere:


Pava LaPere is an entrepreneur focused on building a more equitable and

accessible entrepreneurial ecosystem. After founding a nonprofit to set up

the innovation community at Johns Hopkins, including the first official

university Accelerator programs, Pava started Innov8MD in order to support

student entrepreneurs across the state, regardless of their background.  In

her day job, Pava is the CEO & Founder of EcoMap Technologies, a

Baltimore-based company that uses AI to help entrepreneurs find resources

for their startups, small businesses and nonprofits within their local

Communities.
