Refugee Youth Project ArtWorks Internship

Work w/ refugee youth & make culturally sig. art w/ ArtWorks

About Us

Baltimore City Community College Refugee Youth Project (BCCC RYP) provides after-school and summer programs to refugee students grades K-12. They receive tutoring, mentoring, English classes, STEM education, special workshops, and art courses. Each year, RYP serves over 300 students with the assistance of nearly 300 volunteers.

ArtWorks is a social enterprise founded by RYP in December 2012. Students create African necklaces, prayer flags, scented candles, and similar culturally relevant products. This year, ArtWorks is expanding from festival sales to multiple consignment agreements, gallery showings, and an online store.
